What is CDN cost estimation?

A CDN cost estimate converts a workload into a comparable monthly total. Traffic price alone is not enough: peak bandwidth, DDoS protection, free allowances and minimum charges can change the result, and missing dimensions must not be inferred.

How does the CDN cost calculator work?

Traffic, bandwidth and DDoS protection are calculated as one scenario from the published PostgreSQL provider price records.

CDN cost estimation FAQs

Is this the provider’s final quote?

No. It is a reproducible estimate from public list prices. Negotiated discounts, request fees, origin transfer, WAF add-ons and commercial quotes are outside the model.

Why does a provider show an incomplete price?

The database has no public price for one dimension, or that dimension requires a quote. The provider remains in the table, but no total is invented.

How do minimum monthly charges affect the estimate?

Each dimension compares its usage charge with that dimension’s minimum and uses the higher amount before the three charges are added.

Can I estimate traffic only?

The calculator uses a combined scenario. Existing dimension prices remain visible when data is incomplete, but it will not output a fabricated total.
